A note arrived from Georgia: “I want you to paint a portrait of my father-in-law’s dog that passed away earlier this year. His name was Logan and he was the best boxer ever.” Maureen found me a few months earlier, from the Animal Prints I did for her friend: Daphne and Comet.
“Logan was always so loyal and kind to everyone.”
Logan’s portrait was a challenging one as the photos were super small. The one Gadora chose to paint was of him nestled on his doggie bed amidst the things (and friend) that made his house a home. Gadora systematically cropped his picture then added space in the background, and filled it with a new rug, new paws, substituted a fireplace and began the task of rendering him in watercolor.
Maureen is pleased. Can’t wait for the big reveal.
