An Animal Print request came in two weeks ago, thank you again DailyCandy, for two delightful pooches: Freddy and Shelby. Freddy’s portrait would be delivered to Dallas resident Marissa, and Shelby’s to her Mom. “I have been looking for someone to do this for me for a while now! My dog Freddy is the best of course; he has big brown eyes and is a sweetheart… I would like to have the one where he is in his bed on his back with crazy eyes and his ear flopped over.”
“For my Mom I’d like the one of Shelby, a Pitt we rescued and fostered and recently gave away to her forever home. My Mom misses her like crazy, and it would be a surprise, and a way we can keep her with us.”
Click on all of their pictures to see them close-up. Gadora is mighty happy with the way they turned out.
Marissa finally chose the one of his belly, but gave Gadora some good feedback, “In Fred’s pic, the background of his pic (like the bed) are a little bland in color… so if you want to put a little color in it i would be down for that.” I cropped him at an angle, removed the chair leg and worked a deep plum into his portrait.
“I don’t have any great pictures of Shelby with her eyes open because she was such a hyper dog. Shelby found a wonderful home! We just heard yesterday that she no longer has heart worms, she’s just as loving as always and she is starting to trust new people! This girl who wondered in our backyard was a great dog and we miss her bunches but we couldn’t keep her because my Mom’s Pekingese Gizmo did not like the new addition.” Oh Gizmo!
Shelby’s original photo. Lip smackin’ good.

While in progress and en route, Gadora sent Marissa their completed portraits, one by one. Marissa’s response to Freddy, “Ahhh I LOVE it i cant wait to see Shelby!” And then Shelby, “Yay I love them both so much! Cant wait to receive them! Thank you again!” I bet they reach her today… can’t wait either!
