Moments ago Gadora typed the last letter in Buddy’s name for tonight’s title and scooched up my chair. Celebrating the delivery of Buddy’s portrait I sighed “Buddy” loudly at the onset of this post. No sooner had the “period” been pecked when AJ (the rescued golden who lets me live in his house) nudged his big wet nose under my left armpit. Yes, he’s indeed my buddy and adores when he hears it. In the middle of our heavy petting Chaka Khan’s “Ain’t Nobody” serendipitously lit up the speakers. Ha! Pausing to serenade AJ, tail wagging, I crooned that nobody indeed loves me better… than yoooOOOOooo.
Here’s the Buddy who got AJ his belly rub.
The regal pooch’s pet portrait is for his parents, a gift from their “other” child who resides in our Nation’s capital. They all love their buddy, too.
Buddy’s original photo was nicely composed and provided a wonderful image of a canine well cared for. His proud parents will receive his pic over the holidays, and Gadora looks forward to their response.
Loves me better
Makes me happy
Makes me feel this way
Loves me better than you….”

Animal Prints have been a gift to Gadora too. Through the interaction with you folks, I’ve gained a new appreciation. Despite those who abuse and neglect and fight their animals, there are also good people who utterly and wholeheartedly adore theirs.
Some places* to find your own buddy:
• ASPCA ~ American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was established in 1886 with the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans, and must be protected under the law. “We are their voice.”
• Lab Rescue ~ Lab Rescue of the Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization.
• Austin Humane Society ~ Austin’s largest no kill, non-profit animal adoption shelter dedicated to saving homeless cats and dogs by educating our community about responsible pet ownership and reducing pet overpopulation.
• Heart of Texas Lab Rescue ~ An Austin-based all-volunteer organization who rescues Labs from shelters, pounds, abandonment, and other situations, and places them in loving, caring homes.
*When Googling “lab rescue,” 951,000 options queued up. If your cherished organization was overlooked, feel free to let Gadora know.
