Get out your fire extinguishers, folks. This piece is red hot! Gadora finished the Kindel vanity this week, and after two days of drying time, brought it inside for a fancy photo shoot.

Kindel vanity - BEFORE
Before, the lines were exquisite but the piece showed definite signs of wear. The drawers’ interior simply needed a wipe down.

The finished piece is ravishing! (Didn’t I hear someone say, was it YOU Mother?, “If you don’t toot your own horn, no one else will!”) Well, darn tootin’, this piece is better than Gadora even imagined.

Below the piece is paired with a mirror Gadora fashioned to accompany it. The two are so versatile: it would be a welcomed sight in a foyer, tucked in a pristine corner of a fancy dressing room, or prominently displayed in any office.

Keeping the original hardware was key, and making them relevant for the new piece a goal. Side drawer with top up.

Inside, Gadora decoupaged a vintage world map from a 1964 National Geographic magazine. It provides a nice surprise when the lid is propped open.

The piece with vanity top open. A perfect spot for a laptop, cosmetics, or stationary… As with the Shabby Chic table and chairs redo, the pictures don’t quite do its charm justice. But, you get the idea. It’s a red HOT refinish…

I Love, love , love the map inside. I would so buy it if I had a place for it just b/c of the map inside alone. I think that is so unique. The fact it is so pretty and red is just added bonus!
